Education's Demise

A rant by JC Kennamer

The Stanford tests were last week. I heard they're designed to see if how well the teachers are teaching us. I guess if we don't do well they add more classes or something. Of course the real problem isn't the teachers, it's the students. Now, I don't want to get off on a rant here, but it seems that most of the students here see the teachers as cannon fodder for their childish pranks and antics. Oh, and the ever popular spit wad. Now I admit that some of the teachers deserve that, because they know they're getting paid either way and don't really care about you. But the majority of the teachers are nice people who actually want to see you succeed, and take pride in the knowledge that they're shaping the future leaders of America. And how do you repay them? By throwing things and causing a riot! Now, I'll admit that I, myself, am not perfect. I have done some things in the past that I've gotten in trouble for, and I felt I was punished fairly. The main difference between myself and the rest of these people is that, I have the ability to learn, to realize that what I did was wrong and that it will never happen again. The other people can't cobble together enough cells in that dry up husk they call a brain, to realize that: "Hey this is wrong! I shouldn't do this!" And when they do get in trouble, they brag about it!

And another thing! When the teacher tries to give out information about test and gets distracted, I don't want to hear: "I need this for the test." The biggest thing you're concerned with is if the teacher can tell if you have a rub in. And, just for the record, when your mouth is twice the size of a baseball, yes they can.

Another thing I'm tired of, is when people drop out of school and people say, "Oh, that's such a shame." No it's not! They did the same thing all the other jerks did! That is, when they bothered to show up! Those people deserve the pointless future they may make for themselves.

Now I think I made myself quite clear. If you don't want to learn, then fine. But there are some of us who do. So just sit and shut the hell up! Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
